Hello everyone~ <3

A lot has happened since my last journal so I thought it was about time for an update :)

I have finished school and graduated. I passed all of  subjects and tried my best so I am happy. I now work at ANZ (Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited) as a Bank Teller. I am very proud of getting the job because I had to have two interviews, one with the employment recruitment agency (MEGT) and one with the District Manager of ANZ. There were a number of applicants as well but they must have liked me because I recieved a call the following week from the MEGT representative saying I got the job! I was so happy I nearly cried :'D I love my job and even though it has it's negatives (abusive customers) it has twice as many positives (lovely and kind customers, higher interest rates on my bank accounts, discounts on products ect). When my contract finishes I will gain a Certificate IV in Financial Services which will help me later on in life in case I want to pursue my career at ANZ as a Personal Banker or move on from ANZ and become an accountant. The possibilities are endless :D

My family and I have bought two new baby budgies and four new fishies. One budgie is called 'Kazooie' (she is the girl) and the other is called 'CJ' (he is the boy). Unfortunately 'Tooie' one of our four new fish passed away because of a condition called 'fin rot' so we bought a new fish called 'Iceberg'. Rest in peace Tooie <3 The other fish 'Greg Norman', 'Tiger' and 'Snowy' all welcomed 'Iceberg' to the pack so that was good to see :) Our budgies and fish are happy and healthy at the moment so we hope to keep it that way.

At the moment my main priority is to save up money to buy a house later on in life and for car registration. I have payed off my car insurance so I'm glad that is out of the way but I still have bills to pay off. Luckily I live with my parents so I don't have to pay rent however I still contribute money to help pay for our food and electricity bills. I love having a job because it means I work hard and get paid a good amount of money. I can pay for my bills, put some money away for savings and still have a little left over for myself. Having a job and earning money has sure given me a lot of confidence and independence :)

An exciting thing happened after I had finished school. My photography was chosen and entered into the Saatchi International Art Prizes For School Children up to age 18! I was so happy because I had worked really hard on the project during school and it really payed off :'D My project was to explore the delusions that are experienced by people suffering from schizophrenia. Here is the photograph they chose: www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/port… I will end up posting this photograph on DeviantART so you can all have a better look :3

I'm going to leave my journal here because otherwise I will be blabbing on for ages but thank you for reading everyone <3

Last thursday our four goldfish Mario, Yoshi, Bowser and Peach passed away. Unfortunately they froze to death because the night was very cold. Although our fish came to a sudden end they lived a long and happy life. I hope you are all happy in heaven and I can't wait to see you. I love you all

On wednesday we had to put our budgie Leo to sleep. He had a growth on his wing and unfortunately it continued to spread to other parts of his body. He was given antibiotics and tick repellent for a couple of weeks but he couldn't fight it off. Leo continued to get worse and worse and even started to pick at the growth because it was really irritating him. Eventually he started to eat and drink less so mum and I took him to the vet. The vet told us Leo had lost a lot of weight around the stomach and he wasn't going to get any better. We couldn't let him continue to live and suffer so we put him to sleep. We laid him to rest in our garden near our last dog Sam. I hope you had a good life with us Leo and I wish you the best in heaven. I love you

Update + School

3 min read
Hi guys!

I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply to a lot of my messages, I came down with bronchitis (once again) and I have spent most of my time resting and trying to regain my energy levels. Unfortunately, because I came down with bronchitis, I missed testing week. I had five tests in total, the first two starting on Monday and the last one finishing on Thursday. I had an English essay and Psychology test on Monday, Human Development test and Math test on Tuesday and an English Major Minor essay on Thursday. In total, I missed 135% worth of assessment in less than a week. Fortunately, I had a talk with the Head of Curriculum and she is going to give me status for the whole semester during to health issues I have experienced throughout the semester.

The Head of Curriculum and I have also discussed changing my tertiary package to an accredited package. I have struggled with assessment this year because of health issues and I believe an accredited package would make life a whole lot easier for me. I don't plan to go to university straight after school so applying for university is not an issue. I also plan to change one of my subjects. The subjects I did this year were Math Applications, English – Gothic Literature and Speculative Fiction, English Major Minor, Psychology and Human Development. I have decided to carry on with English (this is a compulsory subject), Math Applications and Psychology which leaves me two more subjects to choose. Unfortunately Human Development only goes for one year so I have to choose another subject anyway. I was thinking of taking Human Movement in place of Human Development and changing English Major Minor to Photography. The reason why I want to change English Major Minor to Photography is because two English subjects are too much work and are unnecessary in my opinion.

I also plan to have a gap year after I finish year twelve. I want to find a casual job, earn some money and provide for myself. I want to be able to buy my own clothes, food and shelter. However, I am going to continue living with my parents until I am ready to move out.

PS. I wish you all a Merry Christmas! :santa:

Hi guys! :meow:

I’ve decided to pluck up the courage and enter the creative competition my school is holding. You can enter short stories, poems, photography, sculptures and artworks. If you win, you’ll have your artwork published in the 2009 school magazine and receive some money. There is no limit to the number of artwork you submit. I was going to enter primal-fury.deviantart.com/art… but I would like to hear your opinions. What do you think I should enter into the competition?
